Institutions and Their Social Construction: A Cross-Level Perspective

چکیده
Defining institutions as taken-for-granted systems of roles and interactions, this paper presents a novel theoretical integration hereto disparate micro macro approaches to their social construction. Building on modifying Berger Luckmann (1967), I emphasize the cultural embeddedness phenomenological experience embodiment in organizations organizing practices. The identifies mechanisms by which micro-institutions emerge at intra-organizational level how institutionalization is shaped across multiple levels organizations, geographic communities, organizational fields, societies, world system. It proposes that locus sedimentation, hence institutionalization, occurs levels, are culturally embedded within higher-level institutional orders society further generation committed network role practitioners critical component institutionalization.
